The Great Adaptainer £10,000 giveaway!
Starting November 2019, Adaptainer Ltd will be running a prize promotion of £1,000 cash per month. The prize promotion will be running for 10 consecutive months totalling £10,000 in prize money to be won!
Terms & Conditions of Prize Draw
1. Promoter’s name and address
1.1 The promoter is Adaptainer Limited (company number: 02360563) whose registered office is at 166 College Road, Harrow, Middlesex, England, HA1 1RA.
2. How to participate
2.1 The prize promotion is open to all of our customers who purchase or hire a container, who are UK resident and are aged 18 or over.
2.2 Each unique container number from each container hired or purchased during a calendar month will be automatically entered into the prize promotion and one winner will be chosen at random to win £1,000 for that calendar month (the Entry or Entries).
2.3 Your Entry will only be made on the date of delivery of the container and not on the date of purchase. (For example, if your container is purchased on 29th January and delivered on 2nd February, your entry will be in the February draw).
2.4 Entry into the prize promotion is free and no additional payment is required.
2.5 There is no limit on number of Entries for this prize promotion. An Entry will automatically be made for each unique container number hired or purchased by a customer during the Prize Promotion Period (defined below).
2.6 All hires or purchases of containers are eligible for Entry, including new and used containers; however, container accessories such as CISA locks and absorb poles do not qualify for Entry.
2.7 Employees of the promoter, any franchisee, and their immediate families, as well as anyone professionally connected with the promotion or administration of the promotion, are ineligible to enter the promotion.
2.8 Any individuals purchasing or hiring containers on behalf of businesses should obtain permission from the relevant person at their business before Entry to the promotion.
2.9 Entries that do not comply with these promotion terms and conditions will be void and will not be entered into this promotion.
3. Start date and Closing Date
3.1 The promotion will start at 00:00 GMT on 1st November 2019 and run for 10 consecutive months closing at 23:59 GMT on 30 August 2020 (the Prize Promotion Period).
3.2 During the Prize Promotion Period all Entries will be entered into the promotion and one winner shall be chosen at random per calendar month.
4. Selection of the winner
4.1 There will be one winner per calendar month during the Prize Promotion Period each winning £1,000.
4.2 During the Promotion Period the Entries of unique container numbers shall be collated between 00:00 GMT on the first day of a calendar month and 23:59 GMT on the last day of the calendar month. The prize draw will take place no later than 7 days into the following month (e.g. the draw for the December winner shall be selected and announced in January).
4.3 The winner of the prize draw will be the first entrant randomly selected from all Entries correctly submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions. The Entrant will be selected using a computer process that produces verifiably random results.
4.4 The promoter will notify the winner of their success by email within 7 days of the draw taking place (Notification Date). The winner will receive their prize within 28 days of the date of the Notification Date.
4.5 If the winner:
(a) cannot be contacted by the promoter; or
(b) does not accept the prize; or
(c) or does not provide appropriate details for such prize to be awarded,
by the Notification Date, or
(d) does not comply with these terms and conditions,
the promoter reserves the right to choose another entrant from the remaining valid Entries for that particular calendar month draw, in accordance with these terms and conditions.
5. Prize
5.1 The prize is £1,000 for each winner for each calendar month during the Prize Promotion Period.
5.2 The promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so.
5.3 The prize is non-transferable and does not include any additional costs and expenses.
5.4 The winner is responsible for all applicable taxes and expenses that may arise from the prize promotion.
6. Publicity and personal information
6.1 The promoter will use your personal information only in accordance with these terms and conditions and our privacy policy, which can be found at: https://adaptainer.co.uk/privacy-policy/.
6.2 By entering the prize promotion, each entrant agrees to these terms and conditions and consents to the processing of their personal data by the promoter (or a third party acting on the promoter’s behalf) for the purposes of the administration and operation of the prize promotion.
6.3 The surname and county of the winner and/or the business name will be published at www.adaptainer.co.uk/competition after each draw and shall remain published for 30 days after the close of the Prize Promotion Period.
6.4 If you do not want your surname and county and/or business name included on the list of winners referred to above, you must tell the promoter when you are notified that you have won on the Notification Date (although we may in any event be required to pass on your details upon request by certain regulatory bodies without notice to you).
6.5 You acknowledge that you may be asked to participate in publicity if you are selected as a winner. This may be during the Prize Promotion Period and after the closing date.
7. General
7.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the promoter, its agents or distributors shall not in any circumstances be responsible or liable for any loss, damage or liability caused by matters relating to this promotion or which are caused by a third party. This does not affect your statutory rights.
7.2 If for any reason, a technical interruption, fault or site failure occurs when purchasing or hiring a container online, the promoter does not take any responsibility for incomplete purchases or hires and any incomplete purchases or hires will not be considered valid for entry into the prize draw. The promoter accepts no responsibility for any purchases which are not completed for any reason.
7.3 Nothing in these terms and conditions will limit the promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for fraud.
7.4 Entrants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon Entry. The promoter reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
7.5 The decision of the promoter regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
7.6 If at any time any Entrant wishes to opt out and be removed from the draw they should contact us using the details in our ‘contact us’ section below. Entrants should contact us before 23:59 GMT on the last day of the calendar month in which they have purchased or hired a container to ensure their unique container numbers are withdrawn from that particular prize draw.
7.7 These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
