Each container makes up a separate room in this newly opened Texas bar. Once inside the tell-tale signs you are inside a shipping container are no where to be seen, instead replaced with stunning interior design features.

40ft shipping container rooms provide luxury living for workers
Vancouver based Bigsteelbox has unveiled luxury accommodation made from 40ft shipping containers for liquid natural gas workers in the country. The container home features floor to ceiling windows and big screen TV’s together with other homely features which will make the resident feel comfortable while spending time inside.
Each unit has a price tag of $120,000.

The Tokyo art gallery made from shipping containers (with a twist)
An architectural business in Japan (Tomokazu Hayakawa) had to get creative when they received a call from someone wanting an art gallery made from shipping containers because there was a problem.
Japanese building regulations mean that shipping containers are not allowed to be the main structure of a building. So how did they get around this?
Ingenious. The architects instead built a timber frame and then cladded it with the shipping container walls, end frames and roof. Looking at the picture I bet you would never know!
Lost shipping containers at sea may have an upside
It’s reported that up to 10,000 shipping containers get lost at sea every year.
Back in 2004 a container ship left the Port of Oakland in California and lost 15 container overboard. Some months later scientists researching with under water robots in the Monterey National Marine Sanctuary discovered one of the containers.
Since then they have been using this opportunity to learn more about how marine life is affected by shipping containers lost overboard. There are obvious concerns about pollution when containers are lost overboard – but happily one of the boxes being studied in Monterey has become an artificial reef.

To help prepare fire fighters for this challenging type of fire the world’s first high rise training facility made from shipping containers has been built.
18 containers make up the building costing £600,000 and will allow trainers to create various fire conditions by controlling ventilation and wind speed for example.
